Hey Shuga Sunshine! I’m Keyana ”KD’ Dawson, and I’m here to turn you into a whole damn vibe. I’ve been into fashion for as long as I can remember, I grew up watching my grandmother sew, and while I didn't have the spark back then, it ignited when I got in high school. I had these grand ideas for how I wanted to express myself through fashion, the problem was, I could never find my ideas in stores. So I started to take matters into my own hands.
I bought a hand-me-down sewing machine from my uncle when I was in the 11th grade, and I started deconstructing clothes in order to make my own designs. I remember seeing Mary J. Blige with a bad-ass pair of boots that I just had to have, but I couldn’t find them anywhere, and even if I could, let’s be real, my 11th grader pocketbook wouldn't have allowed me to afford them, so I tore up a pair of jeans and turned the bottom of those jeans into the very boots the queen was rocking…
